Connections: Linking Your Business Systems

Connections let you bring data from your business tools into BEEM. With 750+ available connectors, you can integrate virtually any system your organization uses.

Step 1: Open the Connections Page

  1. Click Connections in the left sidebar
    1. You will see all configured connections organized by type

Step 2: Add a New Connection

  1. Click New Connection (top-right)
    1. The Select Integration dialog displays 750+ available source types
    2. Search for your system or browse by category (Human Resources, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Support, Productivity, Database, Security, and more)
    3. Select your connector

Step 3: Complete the Setup Wizard

  1. Review the connector documentation
    1. Enter your credentials (API keys, username/password, OAuth, etc.)
    2. Click Test to verify the connection works
    3. Click Confirm to deploy

Step 4: Verify Data Is Flowing

  1. Go to the Datalake in the left sidebar
    1. Find your new connection in the list
    2. Confirm that source tables are appearing after the initial sync completes
    3. Click on tables to preview the data

Connection Types

Type Description
Fivetran-managed The majority of 750+ connectors, maintained and updated automatically
Native connectors Built by the BEEM team for specific integrations
Custom API connectors Built on request for systems without a standard connector

Supported Systems

  • ERPs: SAP, Microsoft Dynamics
  • CRMs: Salesforce, HubSpot
  • Accounting: QuickBooks, Sage, Acomba, Xero
  • Project management: Procore, Asana
  • Ecommerce: Shopify
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift
  • Cloud storage: S3, Azure Blob
  • And hundreds more

Managing Existing Connections

  1. Find the connection in your list
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to it
  3. Choose an action:
    • Rename: Enter a new name and confirm
    • Pause: Halts data syncing temporarily (useful during maintenance or to reduce DPU consumption)
    • Resume: Restart a paused connection
    • Delete: Remove a connection no longer needed

Important Notes

  • Connections are organization-level, shared across all workspaces
  • Only Organization Admin users can create and manage connections
  • A status badge shows whether each connection is Active, Paused, or Failed
